ABOUT HEALTH COACHING
WHAT IS A HEALTH COACH?
A health coach is a wellness professional trained to work with clients who want to improve their health and wellness. They are passionate about healthy living and want to help others lead a healthier lifestyle.
A Health coach supports individuals to improve (lifestyle related) health conditions by helping them to change their behaviour, their beliefs and their habits to improve their health and wellness themselves. This is through small sustained consistent lifestyle changes which are fun and can change a person from the inside out enabling them to achieve their personal health goals. Having long term positive affects on their health both physical and mental. It’s a holistic approach.
Health coaches bridge the gap between knowledge (given from a doctor or other healthcare professional) and real sustained change to a person’s behaviour. They work together with their clients to create a path towards better health which is bespoke to their individual needs.
A Health Coach is not a naturopath, dietician, or a nutritionist. Health coaches collaborate with other healthcare professionals – they don’t compete with them. They help their clients follow through and get results by providing support and accountability.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HEALTH COACHING?
Health Coaching is a holistic approach looking at diet, sleep, exercise, stress and involves working with clients to make positive lifestyle changes that impact on their health
Health coaches have a unique skillset that no other health professionals have. They are trained to ask clients the right questions in order to help identify their challenges and get clarity on what they want to achieve. They devise a strategy alongside their clients to achieve their goals and help them find their motivation to make changes to their life and health
Health Coaches work with you and educate and motivate you to inspire you to take action, overcome resistance and self-sabotage and create new habits and routines that become automated. They provide support and accountability and are masters of habit change
Health Coaches work alongside other professionals to help people implement their advice. If individuals don’t do anything with the advice they receive from health care professionals they don’t make any changes to their health.
A health coach is your cheerleader, your partner and your confidante
